Pandora´s project has as goal to create a kind of musical dna, analysing personal tastes and musical attributes. You can create your own radio station entering your favorite artist or song, and it would give you new related music. You can also decide if you do like or don´t music playing. Is quite easy to use it, but could be limitated.
Last.fm is a web 2.0 product going further, it allows people create comunnities, recommendations, know about events and charts. It joins music, friends network and world wide information. Despite those benefits you must like surfing through it´s pages, otherwise you´d rather using pandora. Here you are new web music options:

About last.fm and pandora's proyect, i think are good and very innovator ideas which people can communicate in a different and uncommon way. Sincerely, i don't use to exchange music and relate with people through chats or muscic programs, i only dedicate to download it and let people do the same, if necessary from mi pc disk. Next time i return to mi computer, i must have to see those new music-chats proyects.
