Web advertising task
1. Check out the advert section on terra.com.co or eltiempo.com ("paute con nosotros"), those links are in the bottom of the home pages.
2. There you´ll find the options of advertising pieces used by those portals, select one of those options.
3. You´ve got three possible clients: Museo Nacional de Colombia, Adidas or Pandora.com. Select one of these options and think about the target of your client, decide how to offer its benefits or features to the public. Also define in wich portal you´ll set the piece.
4. Design the piece under the lineaments specified by the portals about size, weight, format and ubication.

Site of the week 5
After check out last "site of the week" it`s probable you are having several questions about how does flash work. In my opinion flash is a huge field, where is possible to create almost everything we want, but unknown and certain times not as easy as it could.
Anyway, people arround the world using flash have a site where they can share their discoveries, developments, reviews and so on. That site is Flashkit, where you'd find resources for your flash project.

Basic web sites design using dreamweaver
This is a basic tutorial about web site design:
1. Create a new folder with the name of your project, inside create a folder to keep images, a new one for css, and so on. (further i´ll explain you about those diferents files and formats).

2. Once you have done it, open dreamweaver. Over the right side there is a column with different panels, one of those panels is "files". There you can find "manage sites" and there you will search for "new site".

3. You´ve got two ways to define your site, basic or avanced. We will start with basic, firstable give a name to your site. We don´t have an url yet, so just leave it blank. Then it will ask you about a server technology, choice the first option. About the manage of your files, for this time choice edit local files, and search for the folder. Now we will say we are using "none" remote server connection. Finally click on "done", so there you are, a new site. Must got something like this:

4. Create a new html file. To could see and understand about the code generated, choice the split view.
5. On the upper side of the document you will find the views options, the toolbars, the elements such as tables, images, links, etc. Please explore those options to get an overview of this software.

6. Remember, designing with tables is like playing with a puzzle. You must cut the pieces on your design and then join them inside a table. So, think about a good way to create logical tables, and get the pieces inside. Try to create as few tables as possible, each new table means weight on your files.

7. With our example we will create a table with 2 rows and 2 columns, width= 780 pixels, border=0 and space between cells= 0. By control+j we can define page attributes, such as margins, background or font.

8. Select the first column and define the width on the lower side of the document, we will give 319 pixels because the pencil´s image size defines it. It´s recomendable to defines widths, but not to defines heights, becuase it could generate visualization conflicts.

9. Go to the firts row, set the image "cabezote.jpg" as a background. Include this image in the first cell to define the height of the row.

10. Include the image "lapiz.jpg" in the first cell of the second row.

11. One of the ways to solve this design is creating a new table inside the last cell, it will have text, links and the image called badge. Next class we will see it.

Site of the week 4
Within web design theres a kind of issue about flash benefits or features. Jakob Nielsen, the usability´s guru dares to say "flash is web cancer", althought his risky words most of the sites arround the globe have integrated flash in their designs. Besides some questions about it´s usability, or downloading capacity, there is a true underneath (or above, in other words) all discussions: flash is quite attractive and well used is really stunning.
That is the main reason to enjoy this web site, where you can find most of the best flash sites ever. There you would know how to give good use to flash aplications. Before thinking about making an outlandish animation with flying stuff and so on it´s good to check out some good examples of flash uses.

Are you tired of keep your photos for yourself? Would you want to show out your skills as photographer, but don´t know how? Flickr will help with those issues. This is a photo sharing and managment web site.
You could, besides upload your photos, organize them using keyword tags that categorize the images. Invite your friends and family to share those memories in private groups, or your show your images to everyone in the public files, where also can find photos of people from everywhere.

Step one, designing with tables
Despite the fact web design is turning on css (cascading style sheets) design, it´s imperative to understand the foundation of html based design. Take a look at the abbreviation itself, html, hyper text markup language. It means we used tags that works as labels declaring the content after them (or between them).
This is a list with some few tips that would help you on your way to understand the html tables configuration:
- Html documents have a head and a body.
- Inside the head and the body we use tags that are used to markup the elements.
- Tags usually come in pairs, the first <> is the start and the second the end.
- Tables are definied by tag "table" and are divided into rows "tr" and cell "td".
- The cells can contain the elements inside the site.
Check out this web site, it´s quite complete and usefull:
